How does the free trial work?
Every new family gets 30 days of full access, free — no credit card needed to start. We'll remind you before the trial ends. If you choose a plan during your trial, you won't be charged until the trial is over. If you don't choose a plan, your account moves to the Free plan, which keeps daily question-bank practice.
What does SmartPrepai cost?
Four simple terms, one identical feature set: $49/month, $99/quarter, $199/6 months, or $399/year — longer terms simply cost less per day. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. One plan covers every child linked to your parent account.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Each plan is paid upfront for its term — 1, 3, 6 or 12 months — and renews automatically at the end of the term. Cancel anytime from Plan & Billing and you keep full access until the end of the term you've paid for. There are no early-termination fees.
Will I be reminded before I'm charged?
Yes. We email you before your free trial ends and before any renewal is charged, so a payment never comes as a surprise.
Can I get a refund?
Because every family can use SmartPrepai free for 30 days before paying, plan payments are non-refundable — including part-used terms. Cancelling stops the next renewal. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What exams does SmartPrepai cover?
NAPLAN (Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 across Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation), the NSW Opportunity Class test, the NSW Selective High School test, and HSC subjects. NAPLAN content is aligned to the national ACARA framework; the NSW OC and Selective content is aligned to the official NSW test structures and is live today. Customised practice for the VIC, QLD, WA and SA selective/entrance tests is now live in beta — including WA and SA Abstract Reasoning — alongside NAPLAN nationally. ACT, TAS and the NT have no selective exam, so NAPLAN is the fit there.
How does myra actually help my child?
When your child is stuck on a question, myra gives age-appropriate hints — never the answer. It nudges the next step, asks clarifying questions, and adapts to how 10–17 year olds actually think. Every interaction also feeds the methodology report you and your tutor see.
What's the 100-level progression system?
A full year of preparation is structured as a 100-level journey across Bronze, Silver and Gold mastery tiers — Explorer, Trailblazer and Pathfinder. Kids see real momentum from short daily sessions, and you see exactly which sub-skills are building.
How do you handle wellbeing and screen time?
Wellbeing checks are built into every session. Holiday mode automatically dials practice down during school breaks. Intense mode is opt-in with parental consent for the weeks before a real exam. We'd rather a child do 15 honest minutes than 60 resentful ones.
What does the parent dashboard actually show?
What your child worked on, where they're confident, where they're stuck, and conversation prompts for tonight — in plain English. Plus a weekly digest emailed every Sunday. No jargon, no assumption you remember Year 5 fractions yourself.
Can I link my child's existing tutor?
Yes. Parents can invite a tutor to link with a student's profile. Tutors get performance reports between sessions and can leave methodology feedback that the AI learns from. Both parent and student can unlink a tutor at any time.
Can I add multiple children?
Yes — up to six children on one parent account, and one plan covers all of them. Families on a paid plan can also get 50% sibling discount codes.
Who is a founding member?
Every family that signs up on or before 31 December 2026 is a founding member and gets 20% off their first paid year, applied automatically when they choose a plan.
I joined the 2026 beta. Do I have to pay?
No. Families who joined during our 2026 beta keep free access to SmartPrepai.
What do the Committed, Focused and All In plans mean?
They're billing terms: 3 months, 6 months or a full year, paid upfront at a lower price per day. Flexible is billed monthly. Every plan has the same features, renews automatically, and can be cancelled anytime.
Can I pause my plan?
Yes — you can pause your plan for up to 30 days per calendar year at no extra cost, which suits school holidays or busy periods.
How does the P&C revenue share work?
Automatically. 30% of every subscription goes to your child's school P&C committee, deposited quarterly. Nothing to tick, nothing extra to pay — and your school decides what it funds.
Do I need an invite code to join?
No. Anyone can sign up and start the free trial — just verify your email. If you have a referral or promo code you can enter it on your dashboard, but it's optional.
Why do I need to verify my email?
It starts your free trial and keeps bots out. After signing up, check your inbox (and junk folder) for the verification link — you can't sign in until it's confirmed.
Where is my child's data stored, and is it used to train AI?
Data is stored in our Australian-hosted backend with role-based access controls. Practice content and myra interactions are not used to train third-party AI models. Parents can request data export or deletion from the dashboard at any time. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for full detail.
